He can never leave his drama behind.

True love won’t be denied.

No matter how determined they are to steer clear of each other, their combustible connection explodes, especially when Nicole offers Dylan the one thing he can’t bear—hope. Once he has a taste of it—and the irresistible force of her—there’s no going back.

My REVIEW:

I love a book that not only has a great story and great characters, but when it has great secondary characters, my heart leaps a little.  Sometimes they get overlooked and are boring (not intentionally).  But when a story like this makes all the characters well developed and they are ones you want to keep reading about, well then, you know you have found an author to keep reading.

I also loved the roller coaster of emotions in this story.  What an amazing adventure for them!!

Overall, I gave this one a four and a half star rating.  What a tremendous gift to be able to read this ahead of time.  Love, Family and Loyalty are the keys to the best books for me.

Except:
Blood roared in his ears, and need crashed over him. He cupped her chin. Those warm
eyes gazed up at him, those beautiful lips parted. When her tongue flicked out to dampen them,
he couldn’t take it anymore. He touched his mouth to hers. So sweet. So incredibly sweet.
He tried to hold back. Tried to get a handle on this thoughts—remind himself why this
was wrong—but she opened her mouth—just a little—just enough for him to feel the rush of her
breath on his lips. And then she leaned into him—so gently, so easily. Christ, like they belonged
together.
Holy hell. This was bad. This was so fucking bad. He should stop, walk away while he
still had possession of his balls. But he needed this taste. This one little taste to make the want go
away.
He pressed his mouth to hers—lightly—just to keep a hint of her to savor for later—but
she opened to him, tilting her head to let him in. She got up on her toes, a gentle hand wrapping
around his neck—and God help him—but he leaned into her, gave into her. He fell into that
delicious mouth, stroking inside with his tongue. And it was so fucking hot, it just cut him wide
open, letting all that need come gushing out.

Review: I Liked My Life

I Liked My Life I Liked My Life by Abby Fabiaschi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a book that had you feeling vulnerable, raw and emotionally lost in a way when you were down. It was a great story with such strong and interesting characters. I felt that it did not rush toward a happily ever after that would seem unrealistic. I felt though that it was all about growth and people's journey to the moving past past and learning to live again after a tragedy.

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Review: Wicked Girls

Wicked Girls Wicked Girls by Stephanie Hemphill
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I am very middle of the road on this book.

I enjoyed the topic (as anyone who knows me knows my affinity for the Salem Witch Trials).

I liked the interpretation of this one as well.

I was not a fan of the verse writing though. It lost my interest more than it held it.

Review: Shadow of a Girl

Shadow of a Girl Shadow of a Girl by Shannon Greenland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I could not put it down.

The characters were amazing. The story was phenomenal - talk about a roller coaster! I was so involved with the story that my daughter commented on the many emotions were on my face during my reading.
Eve and West were such amazing characters that I just wanted to keep reading and understanding them. And Gideon - well there are many things I could say about him but they are not very nice at all and that goes against my better judgement.
To go through everything Eve went through in her life, to have such an amazing sense of self and strength was a wonder to read about. I felt that these characters were very realistic and I could see them develop over the entire story.
And of course now it comes to me - I felt raw after reading this. I know I had tears in my eyes when I read it. I got many a look as I sat in the library and cried while I waited for my kids to find books.
I give this one a 5 star rating and honestly I want to read it again it touched me that much

Review: Crank

Crank Crank by Ellen Hopkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

How do you give a review and star rating to a book that has a subject matter that you can not even wrap your brain around?? How can you give a book that haunts your thoughts day in and day out since completion a star rating that will equal the number of times you think about it?

After reading this since the author is suppose to attend a book event in my area soon that I will be attending, I have to say that all parents need to read this one. It really does push the buttons from a parental perspective and yet is so riveting your lose yourself in the story.

I am thoroughly looking forward to meeting this author now and find out more about her.

Review: 26 Kisses

26 Kisses 26 Kisses by Anna Michels
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Let me start by reminding all that teenagers think they are so smart, but are not yet and some of us may never get to the point when we are.

I felt that this book was a perfect read for me - light reading with character changing drama that we can all laugh at or growl at depending on your perspective. But it was such a quick read that many will knock it out and then think about it fondly.

It brought me back to what my high school life was in a way and what I always wanted it to be. For that and the writing, I gave this one a solid 4 stars!

Review: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Even with all the hype as the movie is coming out, I still had no idea as to what was to come with this story. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed this story. Now I can see the movie and know that we will all like it a lot.

Review: Sparking the Fire

Sparking the Fire Sparking the Fire by Kate Meader
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Molly and Wyatt! HOTNESS!!!
I really did like the characters and the setting is well very close to home. I mean who does not like a good hot Fireman story set in Chicago?
Their chemistry is obvious and when they actually give in to their attraction, it is hard not to swoon a bit.
Another great book by Kate Meader!!

Review: Hard to Let Go

Hard to Let Go Hard to Let Go by Laura Kaye
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Not exactly what I thought it might be. A lot more cop/thriller than story about Hard Ink. Yes it was hot but just not exactly what I had envisioned when I picked it up.

Review: Call the Midwife: A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times

Call the Midwife: A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times Call the Midwife: A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times by Jennifer Worth
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I always wondered if I should be a midwife when I finished Nursing school. And after listening to this, I do not think I could have handled doing it before my modern medicine at all. The pressure on them was immense in my opinion. I liked the stories and characters of the people introduced in this book. Very enjoyable.
